FREE CROCHET TEAPOT PATTERN
Easy to make free crochet Teapot pattern. Enjoy!

Stylecraft Natural DK Bamboo + Cotton – Sky (7142), 60% Bamboo 40% Cotton, 100g
Short piece of light pink yarn to make cheeks
Black safety eyes x 2 – size 6 mm
Polyester filling for toys

Magic ring (crochet specified number of single crochet stitches into the adjustable loop)
Sc - single crochet
2sc - increase (crochet 2 single crochet stitches into the same stitch)
2tog – decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
BLO – (back loops only)
FLO – (front loops only)
CH – chain stitch
F/O – finish off
Sl st – slip stitch
Work in continuous spiral, don’t turn and don’t join unless stated otherwise

LID
1) Magic ring, 6sc (6)
2) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (8)
3) 1sc in each stitch (8)
4) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2tog – repeat to the end of row (6)
5) 2sc in each FLO (12)
6) 1sc, 2sc – repeat to the end of row (18)
7) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (24)
8-9) 1sc in each stitch for 2 rows (24)
Make 1 sl st to the next stitch to even out the lid. F/O and leave longer tail for sewing.
Stuff with polyester filling top of the lid only (just for now).
TEAPOT
1) Magic ring, 6sc (6)
2) 2sc in each stitch (12)
3) 2sc in each stitch (24)
4) 1sc in each stitch (24)
5) 1sc in each BLO (24)
6) 1sc, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (36)
7) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (48)
8-11) 1sc in each stitch for 4 rows (48)
12) 1sc in next 6 stitches, then 2tog – repeat to the end of row (42)
13) 1sc in next 5 stitches, then 2tog – repeat to the end of row (36)
14) 1sc in next 4 stitches, then 2tog – repeat to the end of row (30)
15) 1sc in next 3 stitches, then 2tog – repeat to the end of row (24)
Make 1 sl st to the next stitch to even out the teapot, F/O and cut off yarn.
Insert safety eyes between rows 9 – 10, within a distance of 6 holes (count holes between the stitches).
Using needle and a piece of pink yarn, make cheeks (cheeks can also be made at the very end, once all pieces are assembled). Stuff with polyester filling.
Using needle and a lid’ sewing tail, attach lid to the teapot – BLO to BLO only (before sewing is finished, leave a little hole and stuff the lid properly. Close when teapot and a lid are fully stuffed).
SPOUT
1) Magic ring, 4sc (4)
2) 2sc in each stitch (8)
3) 1sc in each BLO (8)
4) 1sc in each stitch (8)
5) 1sc in next 3 stitches, then 2sc – repeat to the end of row (10)
Make 1 sl st to the next stitch to even out the spout. F/O and leave longer tail for sewing. Stuff with polyester filling. Attach spout to the teapot where rows 11 – 15 are.
HANDLE
1) Ch 17 (17)
2) Starting from 2nd chain from the hook, make 1sc in next 16 stitches, turn (16)
3) Ch 1, 1sc in next 16 stitches (16)
F/O and leave longer tail for sewing.
Sew one end of the handle to row 13, then the other end where row 8 is (counting from the bottom of the teapot).
