FREE CROCHET ORANGE HALF PATTERN

Easy to make free crochet Orange Half pattern. Enjoy!

Tools & Materials

• Crochet hook size 3.0 mm

• Polyester Craft Filling for toys

• Tapestry needle and craft pins

• Scissors

• Stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end of a round

Yarn

• Orange (Stylecraft Special DK, Spice (1711), 100% Acrylic, 100g)

• Green (Stylecraft Special DK, Grass Green (1821), 100% Acrylic, 100g)

• White (Stylecraft Special DK, White (1001), 100% Acrylic, 100g)

Skills required / abbreviations / info

• MG – magic ring (make specified number of single crochet stitches into the loop)

• Sc – single crochet

• Inc – 2sc increase (crochet 2 single crochet stitches into the same stitch)

• Dec – 2tog decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)

• F/O – finish off

• R – spiral round 

• ( )* – repeat the sequence in brackets to the end of the round

• (12) – number of stitches expected at the end of the round

• Work in spiral rounds, do not turn/join unless stated otherwise

• F/O and leave longer tail for sewing

• Using needle, start attaching ‘Front of the Orange’ to its ‘Peel’ (peel’ full stitch to front of the orange’ BLO – check picture to see how completed fruit should look like) – before sewing is finished, leave small hole and stuff the orange with polyester filling, then close the hole

• Once orange is completed, using needle and a longer piece of white yarn, apply 6 dividing lines
