Stylecraft Special DK: Walnut (1054), 100% Acrylic, 100g
Stylecraft Special DK: Grass Green (1821), 100% Acrylic, 100g
Stylecraft Special DK: White (1001), 100% Acrylic, 100g
Longer piece of black yarn to make pips
Polyester filling for toys

Magic ring (crochet specified number of single crochet stitches into the adjustable loop)
Sc - single crochet
2sc - increase (crochet 2 single crochet stitches into the same stitch)
F/O - finish off
Work in continuous spiral, do not turn or join, unless stated otherwise

FRONT OF THE KIWI (colours – Grass Green (1821), White (1001) and Walnut (1054))
Start with colour ‘White’
1) Magic ring, 8sc (8)
2) 2sc in each stitch (16)
Change colour to ‘Grass Green’
3) 1sc, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (24)
4) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (32)
5) 1sc in next 3 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (40)
6) 1sc in each stitch (40)
Change colour to ‘Walnut’
7) 1sc in each stitch (40)
F/O and cut off yarn.
PEEL (colour – Walnut (1054))
1) Magic ring, 6sc (6)
2) 2sc in each stitch (12)
3) 1sc, 2sc – repeat to the end of row (18)
4) 1sc in next 2 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (24)
5) 1sc in next 3 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (30)
6) 1sc in next 4 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (36)
7) 1sc in next 8 stitches, then 2sc in next stitch – repeat to the end of row (40)
8-13) 1sc in each stitch for 6 rows (40)
F/O and leave longer tail for sewing
Using needle, start attaching ‘Front of the Kiwi’ to its ‘Peel’ (peel’ full stitch to front of the kiwi’ BLO – check picture to see how completed fruit should look like) – before sewing is finished, leave small hole and stuff the kiwi with polyester filling, then close the hole
Once kiwi is completed, using needle and a longer piece of black yarn, make 7 pips
