FREE CROCHET KETTLE PATTERN

Easy to make free crochet Kettle pattern. Enjoy!

Size 6.5 cm / 2.55 inch in height

Tools & Materials

• Crochet hook size 2.5 mm

• Black safety eyes x 2 – size 6 mm

• Polyester Craft Filling for toys

• Tapestry needle and craft pins

• Scissors

• Stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end of a round

Yarn

• Pink (Rico Essentials Cotton DK, Pearl Pink (55), 100% Cotton, 50g)

• Brown (Stylecraft Natural DK Bamboo + Cotton, Nutmeg (7147), 60% Bamboo 40% Cotton, 100g)

Skills required / abbreviations / info

• MG – magic ring (make specified number of single crochet stitches into the loop)

• Sc – single crochet

• Inc – 2sc increase (crochet 2 single crochet stitches into the same stitch)

• Dec – 2tog decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)

• BLO – (back loops only)

• FLO – (front loops only)

• CH – chain stitch

• F/O – finish off

• R – spiral round 

• Row – row

• ( )* – repeat the sequence in brackets to the end of the round

• (12) – number of stitches expected at the end of the round

• Work in spiral rounds, do not turn/join unless stated otherwise

Insert safety eyes between rounds 16 – 17 within a distance of 5 holes (count holes between the stitches). Stuff with polyester filling. When completed, F/O and weave in remaining thread.

NOTE: don't count CH as a stitch at any point (skip it).

R 4 CH 1; sc 10 - join with sl st (10)

F/O and leave longer tail for sewing. Stuff with polyester filling.

Attach spout to the kettle between rounds 13 – 16.

HANDLE (colour brown)

Row 1 starting from the 2nd chain from the hook, make sc 30, turn (30)

Row 2 CH 1, sc 30 (30)

F/O and leave longer tail for sewing.

Sew to the kettle between rounds 12 – 13.
